Abstract

The era of Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) began in the 21st century, and the world is on the cusp of a wider and broader interconnected form of life and being, which is characterised by the emergence, use, institutionalisation and internationalisation of Fintech. According to the study, the current emergence of Fintech has led to platformisation and platformification of the global technology landscape, especially in the financial sector. The article surveys and analyses these transformations in the Global FinTech landscape, wherein the analysis focuses on mitigating the emerging complexities, challenges and issues related to the Fintech landscape.

Ramnath Reghunadhan, Indian Institute of Technology, Madras

Ramnath Reghunadhan is a Research Scholar at the Department of Humanities and Social Sciences, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (India). He is the recipient of the IIT Madras Institute Research Award 2022, given to the Top 25 Research Scholars in IIT Madras, the Mira Sinha-Bhattacharjea Award 2019 (MSB 2019) by the Institute of Chinese Studies (India) and the 2021-2022 Huayu Enrichment Scholarship by the Ministry of Education (Taiwan). Ansel Elias Stanley is currently associated with the Department of Science and Technology, Government of India. He is the DST STI Young Policy Professional at the DST-Centre for Policy Research (DST-CPR), Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, India), and is hosted by DST. He has completed his master’s in international Relations and Politics. Research interests lie primarily in the intersection of technology and public policy.
